Arizona State Land Department Viewpoint on State Land Trust and Vulcan CUP

Arizona's State Land Trust (STL), was conveyed by Congress at statehood with a mandate that the land be held in perpetual trust to serve as a dedicated revenue source for 13 public service beneficiaries, with Arizona's K-12 public schools benefit from the majority of the proceeds generated from the STL.

Our mission is to responsibly manage the assets of this multi-generational perpetual Trust in alignment with the interests of the 13 Beneficiaries and Arizona's future.
